Windows vs. Ford For all of us who feel only the deepest love and affection for the way computers have enhanced our lives, read on. At a recent computer expo (COMDEX), Bill Gates reportedly compared the computer industry with the auto industry and stated, ‘If Ford had kept up with technology like the computer industry has, we would all be driving $25 cars that got 1,000 miles to the...

Exceptional Life
While I always carry so much thankfulness in my heart for my God and my family, I sometimes just feel a little more overwhelmed by how exceptional my life is than other times.  My husband has the most honest and extaordinary heart in the whole world, and it allows him to love his family so earnestly.  And my son possesses such beauty and happiness that I am in love with the idea that he is the...

Maternity Leave
So today begins the first day of my maternity leave.  Feeling unsure about what people do when they are off of work, not sick, and not on holiday, I have already begun to enjoy myself.  While I am waiting for my son to decide he wants to enter this world, I am preparing his home, taking a break, and getting back to the side of myself that I like.  I have so much thankfulness for my job, but it is...

The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman...
Edward Gibbons gave 5 reasons why the Roman Empire fell in one of the best proclaimed histories of the fall of the Roman Empire. I found this out listening to a View from Space with Gary Bell. Of course, I am drawing similarities to the United States, but I am not even going to mention them since I know that you can think of a myriad amount of recent activies for all five reasons that parallel...

A Beautiful Life
I heard a story on the radio two days ago about a lady who found a cocoon of a beautiful moth, and she decided to keep it, so that she could watch the moth rise from it’s silent slumber when the time came.  This moth was not a little ugly, brown moth that swarms around your porch light; it was a big, beautiful moth with markings that look just like a pair of eyes staring back at you, very...

Wow! Ape Rights →
Do not get me wrong.  Animals should not be tortured, but extending rights to them because some scientists think they are our closest ancestral brothers is way crazy considering that we do not even offer humans rights like that.  Let’s just hope they cannot hold government positions because they would they might do a better job than some politicians.

C H A N G E
My life really just changed this week.  Danny and I found out that we are pregnant.  We were really freaked out, but now we are both really happy.  Many of our plans will now chane, but I do believe that this is one of the biggest blessings of my life, besides Danny.

no more....
I hate work.  I hate school.  I do not even want to touch all of the homework I need to have completed by midnight.  I just want to go far away to a place where I can just watch the guitarist strum himself into my complacency and be…just be.

Squashed
What should I do when I feel like I am always working but never catching up?  What should I do when I am working to get better but doing worse?  Should I keep trying?  I am so sick of school and work.  I have an inert fear that all of this schooling is very likely a big waste of my time and money.

A Little Late
Knowing that I am about a month late to make a new year’s resolution, I have made a goal.  As soon as I get home everyday, I have decided to spend uninterrupted, devoted time with the Lord Jesus Christ everyday.  I have time to go to the gym, watch two or three movies every week, spend time making art, or whatever else floats my boat, but I have become very selfish with the Lord.  I have...

What?
Sometimes life just seems way too confusing and troubling and tumultuous than I like.  Lately, my mind swirls constantly to the beat of some psychodically frenzied drum beat that always changes tempo as soon as I start to catch the rhythm.  I do not know what I want, but I am not sure that is true.  I’m pretty sure I know what I want but am too scared to reach for it for fear of...

Hope everybody had a nice Thanksgiving!
My thanksgiving was so great. Danny and I stayed up the night before Thanksgiving until after 2 am. We made angel food cake, strawberry cake, apple pie, brownies, fruit salad, mashed potatoes, green beans, and mac and cheese, and we were only suppose to help my mom with the cooking. Only my family and my uncle’s family came over to eat, but I just go crazy insane making food for every...

The inlaws...ummm...in a good way
So Friday night Danny and I announced to our families that we are engaged to marry.  We arranged for my parents and Danny’s parents to all meet at the Blue Danube on Park Row for dinner on Friday night.  Neither set of parents knew the other set would also dine with us.  So before I pass it over, let me just say that the food at the Blue Danube is soooooo good, and everybody should go and...

Holy Matrimony!
I call Danny fiance now for ovbious reasons.  He popped the big one last night, and will soon be stuck with me forever because in the land of Jodie, there are no refunds, repos, or exchanges.  Being stuck with him is more of an honor that the tumblr blog could hold, and more than my joyous/awkward demeanor could express right now.  But I gladly accepted the Mrs. and would not want it any other...

Halloween Party
All of the pictures below were from the Halloween pary I had at my place.  I had so much fun, and I hope my friend’s and boyfriend did too.  I dressed as Zelda, and my boyfriend dressed as the spinning beachball of death(you know…the loading symbol on mac os…kinda like the hour glass on windows).  I made a lot of scary dishes including bride of Frankenstein cake, hand punch,...

Duck Taped Bumper
So I was just telling my boyfriend’s parents this story over the weekend and must post to my blog before the old age allows me to forget it.  Anywho, I came out of class at Richland college one beautiful, sunny day, and walked to my bright red nissan sentra ready to head on home, but as I got closer to “my” car, I noticed that there was duck tape all over my bumper.  I started to...

Regret
Commuting to Dallas from Arlington, about one hundred miles round trip, each day for work lends my mind to much thought. Usually I succumb to thoughts in the realms of “what ifs” and insecurities, but every now and then, my thoughts may even seem slightly profound. In between the time I spend thinking of ways to make my life more difficult and pranks to play on my boyfriend, I...

Murray Energy, Corp OHIO!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, just for the record, I work for Murray Energy, Inc. in Dallas,TX.  I do not work for the Murray Energy in Pepper Pike, Ohio.  I do not know the scum bag Robert Murray either.      So here is the story.  A coal mine in Utah collapsed yesterday with 6 men stuck inside with no way out.  Since 2004, Murray Energy, Corp. has been given over a hundred citations because of mine violations. ...

Back from Vacation
Well, Danny and I are finally back from vacation, regrettably and fortunately. But first thing we come back to is Danny’s dog BoBo passing away. He passed away while we were on vacation. It seems to be hitting Danny, his mom, and his mom’s fiance pretty hard. I do not think I have ever seen Danny this crushed. It breaks my heart.     We did have a good vacation though....

Please only take the bold type on this link serious. It is very informative and congruent with other factual information about HAARP. The italic font is all speculation, and frankly, it is stupid. It sounds like neo con bs to me.

Summer Plans
So the semester is finally finished, and I could scream at the top of my lungs with relief. Working full-time and going to school full-time really can get quite exhausting. I am pretty sure I got all A’s and one C. The C would have been an A, but I accidentally missed a test in my online math class. I had to go up to the college to take some of the tests and I forgot about that one. It...
